“Let the beauty we love, be what we do.”

I am a San Francisco based artist, educator, and scholar who is committed to dance as a means of empowerment and pursuit of freedom. For me dance is a life practice – a practice of focus, purpose, and radical joy in an otherwise bleak and complicated world.

My creative process organizes community engagement, story-telling, and critical discourse into programs, workshops, performances, films, and scholarly articles.

My choreographic work blends contemporary ballet, dance theatre, and the spirit of quest to make dances that entertain, compel, and inspire.

I make work that matters to me, on topics that directly affect my life and my community, and that represent the life and times I live in.
